Fails: 10 Green Screen Movie Effects Gone Wrong

Every movie now has some sort of green screen or blue screen effect, but what happens when it's done horribly wrong. It's not believable at best and can ruin a movie at worst. The Star Wars prequels come to mind for overuse of CG effects and usage of green/blue screens. The action and scenery never felt real. The immersion was lost in much of these movies as a result.

Tips: The Vintage Visual Effects of Kung Fury

If you haven't seen Kung Fury, please go right now and see it. It is a short 30 minute movie that relives the 80s. It is over the top 80s cliches done so on point it's hilarious. Every detail is just perfection. It was done on an estimated $600,000 budget. most of that was on a visual effects team as most of the film was done on a green screen and probably to hire David Hasslehoff to record the theme song True Survivor and create the music video.

What was most impressive about the movie was how they accurately represented the technology at the time when it came to the visuals. Here's a video and attached playlist to some behind the scenes footage of how the creator, Dave Sandberg, created the visual effects film:
